The annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival kicked off last Thursday, April 25, and runs through May 5, but Anderson. Paak wasted no time in kicking the city into high gear with the Global Jam afterparty, an event he headlined and curated for Expedia at The Joy Theater last Friday. The private party included opening performances from NOLA’s own Tank and the Bangas and Colombia’s Bomba Estéreo, while the Mardi Gras Indians introduced Anderdon .Paak and the Free Nationals’ headlining set, which also included guest appearances from Tank and Rae Khalil.
